What students say:

French

Involving, inspiring, elucidating, entertaining and practical.

Eddie S, Hailsham

Conversation classes, one-to-one sessions? None worked. Now Alison has succeeded where others failed by helping me give a decent account of myself travelling in France. Like the best teachers she makes complex issues clear and because she supports rather than criticises, you never feel discouraged. I learn more from two hours with Alison than a week with many classroom teachers.

Sue B, Cross-in-Hand

We have had private French tuition with Alison for a year, and are delighted to have made such good progress. Alison is an excellent teacher, she has given us confidence and makes learning French fun. Each lesson is interesting and different. We start each class chatting in French, and learn from a course book and other French resources that Alison brings. We highly recommend Alison to anyone wanting to learn or improve their French.

Tessa and Paul, East Hoathly with Halland

Spanish

We have been having beginners Spanish lessons with Alison for a few months and she has been a very enthusiastic and encouraging teacher. She has been able to make learning a new language fun, shown great patience and been happy to progress at a pace to suit us.

Bruce and Anna C, Hailsham

Alison makes every lesson fun, interesting and varied, working at a pace to suit me and has a most encouraging, supportive and pleasant manner.

Adam S, Battle

Alison has supported me through my GCSE course, helping me to achieve “A grades” in my exams to date. I enjoy the lessons and she explains anything difficult in an easy to understand way. I would highly recommend her.

Sheila H, Uckfield

An excellent introduction to work on the census for an absolute but enthusiastic novice. Super!

Great content and incredible number of websites highlighted for research, very enjoyable!

Andy P, Crowborough

Alison's help has enabled me to order several BMD Certificates and I now have GRO Index references noted to order more! All set now for my first trip to WDYTYA-Live, and really appreciate Alison bringing this event to my attention.

Sue P, Crowborough

Computing

Alison was knowledgeable on her subject and patient and flexible in dealing with a small group with mixed prior experience, focussing on practical areas to help people broaden their computer expertise for ongoing day to day use.
